- What I have observed with the tcp/ip and dialup adapter on Win95 that
- after a period of time, the applications will loose connectivity
- through the tcp/ip stack. The modem will still be connected to the
- service but no pings or icmp requests find there way out to the serial port
- the lack of light changes on the modem indicate that,the application
- is not talking to the serial port. A simple reconnect will correct the
- symptoms for a short period of time, but eventually, a complete restart of
- windows 95 is required to re-initialize the tcp layer.
